In cooperation with JICA and Marino Forum
21, eight trainees were accepted from the
African nations of Benin, Cote d'Ivoire,
Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Mali for our training
program from October 10 through October 13.
They took lectures including current status
and issues in inland fisheries in Gifu Prefecture,
the system, management of ayu resources,
went to Gifu Prefecture Hatchery and Gujo
Fisheries Cooperative on a field trip, and
exchanged views on present status and tasks
pertaining to their inland fisheries.
