In cooperation with JICA and Marino Forum
21, the Center accepted
ten trainees from
the African nations of
Benin, Cameroon, Comoros,
Ivory Coast, Gabon, Guinea
and Togo for training
from October 11 through
14, 2016.
In the training, visitors took several lectures
on topics including challenges faced and
initiatives taken by fisheries in Gifu Prefecture,
inland fishery systems, techniques for producing
feminized ayu, and aquaculture techniques
for catfish and other fish.
Visitors also participated in practical training
for the cultivation of immature ayu sperm,
and had field tours of shoal net fishing
sites on the Nagara River and fishery product
processing facilities. |
