By requests from Thai Government, two officials from Bureau of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand were accepted to participate in training program from November 13 to November 22.
On the first day of the training program, they met Deputy Executive Director of Department of Agricultural Policy, and took lectures on outline of fishery in Gifu Prefecture, conservation of ecosystems in rivers at Gifu Prefectural Research Institute for Fisheries and Aquatic Environments, and participated in practical training on egg collection and fertilization of Japanese char, and visited fisheries cooperatives, aquaculture farms, Ayu hatchery, etc. On the last day, we exchanged opinions on the direction of technical cooperation between Gifu Prefecture and Thailand, the future of training program, etc.
