JICA Trainees Accepted
from Africa


In cooperation with JICA and Marino Forum 21, seven trainees were accepted from the African nations of Algeria, Mauritania, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia for our training program from July 23 through July 26, 2017.

On the first day, they participated in the event “Ayu Day” held at Water Eco Park.

From the second day onwards, they took lectures including issues and measures in inland fisheries in Gifu Prefecture, the system, and management of ayu resources, went to Gifu Prefecture Hatchery and Gujo Fisheries Cooperative on a field trip, and exchanged views on current status and tasks pertaining to their inland fisheries.
