In cooperation with JICA and Marino Forum
21, the Center accepted
ten trainees from
the African nations of
Algeria, Mauritania,
Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia
for training
from July 25 through 27,
2016.
In the training, visitors took several lectures
on topics including challenges faced and
initiatives taken by fisheries in Gifu Prefecture,
inland fishery systems, and efforts to increase
ayu resources.
Visitors also participated in practical training
for the cultivation of immature ayu sperm,
and had field tours of an ayu hatchery and
fishery cooperatives.
